Slowed metabolism from long term extreme dieting

I did a diet and lost tons of weight reaching 78kg from 150kg but since this year I wanted to lose more and go back to my presz weight of 63kg when I had abs So I did an extreme diet eating only 800 cal a day 5 days a week. Only ate once a day. Metabolism slowed down and did not lose any more weight and the weight gained during cheat days on weekends stayed whereas before this extreme diet I did lose it all and even more during the week.

I am gaining weight even though I eat 800 cal a day during the week. I messed up my metabolism. I fear gaining back all the weight permanently even with extreme low calorie diet.

Chatgpt is saying to eat more like 2000 calories a day long term even if I gain weight and eventually metabolism will reset.

Ozempic and Mounjaro would slow metabolism even more by making me eat less so Dr will not prescribe them as its dangerous in my case. I am already eating very little during the week.

78 kgs is a small fella. That should be good. You trying to look like brad pitt in fight club. He was 140 lbs.

800 cal is too low bro

Why not eat three proper meals of low cal food:

Shrimp and mixed frozen veg

1/2 cup Beans/lentils and 2tbs brown rice and salad

Chicken breast and raw veg and low cal dressing

Oatmeal with peanut butter and fruit puree

Etc

Eat three low cal meals a day so your metabolism speeds up

Eating once a day for the long term is bad for you. You could develop gallstones or other problems. Try not to overdo it, and maybe accept that you can’t get to the desired weight for now.

I thought that by eating less I would lose weight but its not working. I am eating less than before even during weekend cheat day and I am gaining weight slowly.

I got used to eating one meal a day but today at noon I forced myself to eat egg whites with fat free greek yoghurt and one sweet potato

Three meals a day is the conventional wisdom

I think metabolism needs consistent meals to work properly. Eating several small meals through the day may work better for you as long as you eat healthy.

That’s actually a healthy meal, high in protein and the sweet potato has some good nutrients including fiber. It would have been healthier if you added more vegetables, maybe a salad with a low calorie dressing or an artichoke or some asparagus.

Brother, it’s not healthy and nutrient deficient even to eat so low of a calories. Also, are you still taking meds? If yes its impossible to lose that much weight

I did lose 70kg on 6-8mg risperidone. Before I was always blaming the meds until I did a diet which worked.

Do you lift weights? You could train full body once a week and eat whatever you like usually.
