I’ve decided to eat 1200 calories a day and 2 times a week I’ll have 1400. I was eating 1600 but I’ve maintained the same weight for the last 2 years eating that way. I always lose weight at 1200 calories. For me it’s like some kind of magic number. It’s weird.

@77nick77 i eat fruits, veggies, protein, and gluten free grains, plus non dairy yogurt. Based on how I eat, my dr has approved a 1200 calorie diet multiple times. It’s the only way I’ve ever managed to lose weight.

One time, I signed up for a program at a hospital. They put me on a 600 calorie diet I was supposed to stay on for 3 months. I tried but was absolutely starving so I quit.

Drs will approve a 1200 calorie diet in females (males shouldn’t go below 1500) if the diet is diverse with lots of different nutrients
