Im realy sad of mine situation

I’m sick of feeling sorry for myself because of my illness. I’m sick of the loneliness and of not being understood by others. I’m tired of showing my pain only to have my parents and sister fail to understand.
I’m sick of judgmental looks. I’m sick of never going out and of overeating. I’m fat and unattractive. I feel sorry for myself.Anyone else

@Lonelyeveryday

I have some of the same struggles as you, but I have changed my thinking from self-pity to self-compassion. In other words, I’m my best friend. Yes, my schizophrenia makes my life tough, but it’s not my fault and I don’t see myself as a hopeless victim. I can create change, it may be small change, but it’s something. This gives me hope, hope for a better tomorrow.

I have schizophrenia, but I’m not schizophrenia. I’m a good person with talents and interests that have nothing to do with schizophrenia.

I used to have a very critical inner voice, but I’ve realized that I wouldn’t even say the things I was saying to myself to someone else.

Be your best friend.

Be kind to yourself. The names and things you say about yourself are the biases of our culture. It is toxic stuff. Be critical of society and others judgements before being critical and judgemental of yourself. Being alone is one of those things too because isolating people is seen as a punishment… it can be punishing, but you have to make the most out of it or try to get involved in welcoming places… church, school, and community organizations. Use mental health services and groups.

I know its hard. You would think with people everywhere being lonely wouldnt be an issue. Water, water everwhere, but not a drop to drink. Dying of thirst in the ocean.

I understand not being understood.

Our pain as schizophrenics is so lonely

To communicate what happens to us is so difficult

And those around us seem to not comprehend.

I’m so sorry
