Irritable insomiac

It’s past 2am here in Cape Town and I’m irritated because I can’t sleep. Of course it’s partly my fault for drinking coffee at 11pm and reading a book till 11:30pm!

But when I went to bed eventually, I had to urinate three times in quick succession argh! The coffee obviously!

I also had itching all over and not only that but akathisia from the meds.

I never realised amisulpride and haloperidol actually give me akathisia because I’ve had it worse on other meds like quetiapine. But I do. It’s mild, but it’s there. Every night I have to kick my legs in bed and stretch them and tense them up before releasing. Argh.

Then my coughing I get from allergies got worse because the more I coughed the more irritated my throat got. Till my husband asked am I sure I’m ok? I said yes.

But all the same, I couldn’t sleep so I got up and am typing by candlelight and eating peanut butter on bread and more coffee. My throat eased but now my nose is snotty from allergies and the cold.

Oh for fcks sake!!!

I know i slept all day nervous about getting up for the dentist weds noon. I will stay awake now all night , so i dont miss app

Could you take a prn have you anything? @Dika hope you get some shut eye

I used to have the same problem reading and getting mentally excited and drinking coffee before bed. School was very difficult for me to manage with these kind of risk factors for insomnia over the years.

Thanks @Ducky and @Schizbro I did manage to sleep from about 3am or so till morning. Woke up tired but nothing too unmanageable.

Not really, just spending time with hubby and reading :blush:

Thats nice. Im just chilling been dentist had a filling as part of it came out
