@Watchers couldn’t have said it better.

It’s understandable that you’re spiraling right now. I agree with finding things that ground you and help focus you in the present moment. It helps me a lot to do that.

Please know your responses to life are normal and reasonable. Now you just need to develop coping mechanisms that work for you to help manage it and be able to feel a little better (or once you get good at it a lot better). It really is possible to cope well with time and practice.

That said, it’s ok that you’re not there yet. You’re only human. Be kind to yourself and work on those skills as you’re able.

I truly believe you can do it

I apologize @ducky. I forgot about your suicidal tendencies.

That’s quite severe like you say. Please forgive me.

In regards to the rest being normal, you are a very stressed out person dealing with multiple issues. It’s normal under those circumstances to be overwhelmed and even to feel defeated and depressed at times.

That doesn’t mean you need to stay that way though. There is hope and you can get better. Life can get better.

I was extremely suicidal and depressed and paranoid and afraid to leave me home for a very long time. I work in an office now and am no longer suicidal. I’m hoping you see there’s hope for you too.

Sophrology has shown to be helpful in some types of illness, but lacks proof in some of its claims. In addition, many people who promote this also promote pseudoscientific knowledge. My only statement is that it needs to be used in addition to medications/therapies and is not standalone. I’d like to see more statements by medical doctors on this. Many French doctors do not promote it and the question is why.

I’ll reopen this so @ducky can have support. Maybe just steer away from the sophrology part.

@Ducky i totally get it. For learning coping skills, I did DBT therapy. It’s usually for people with borderline personality disorder and I don’t have that. But it helps everyone in my opinion. Can you look into seeing if you can get DBT therapy? It’s got workbooks and a little homework each day, but it really helps.
