Hi
Is anyone on this drug for severe anxiety.
I am only on 50mg. It says the therapeutic dose is 100-200mg.
It worked initially but stopped. I feel I need to increase my dose

i have never heard of it used for anxiety as it is commonly used for bipolar and also is an antiseizure medication for epilepsy and mood stabilizer. to be fair tho doctors use a variety of meds off label as my gp was mindboggled that im on topamax which is also an anti seizure med and mood stabilizer, but im taking it for weight loss, not all off label uses for each med is widely spread information

The psychiatrist said it should help my depression. As anxiety goes hand in hand with depression I thought it might help with the anxiety too.

Lamictal is mainly used for bipolar depression but at higher doses it’s somewhat effective for mania.
It’s not really so effective for anxiety, as it can sometimes cause anxiety.
