My manager conveniently ignored me this week after our initial talk on Monday. So I was able to finish out the pay period which is great. Plus I’m working today(which is the start to a new pay period) you’d better believe I’m working my butt off. But in this process I’ve gained a lot of confidence. I’m less anxious at work, I’m able to focus. Hey I mean I’m even enjoying work right now. I get to make a difference in people’s lives who are going through a hard time. Car accidents can be very stressful and I love knowing that I’m able to help these people and provide them with excellent service. Yes my job is still stressful, especially right now not knowing if I’m keeping my job or not. I hope I can keep it. I feel like I’ll be really depressed if I lose this job. Anyway that’s the update y’all. I’ll continue to keep you guys posted.
Its dreadful that they’re keeping you hanging like this. Totally unethical, in my mind.
Maybe she is testing you to see if you can work more efficient consistently.
If you can do that without risking a relapse or burnout go for it. But health comes first.
It’s a little bit stress inducing what she’s doing, but for her to suggest she might fire you likely has 0 effect on her and 100% effect on you. She likely just said it in passing and didn’t care, but you have been thinking of it every minute of every day since it happened. It might be a little unethical or something, but if it has good consequences such you working better and keeping your job, then maybe not so bad. I hope you can sustain your current effort.
