Just pen and paper bro, write down the form they do (intro, verse, chorus, outro, etc.), the repeats and also the change in textures between sections, cuz you need to separate the sections somehow.
Then, try to copy the exact same even as an exercise

About melodies… you can repeat 3x and modify 1x, it’s like question and answer…
In my opinion call and response type of music goes very deep, very far back… into mama Africa. It’s something that was there from the beginning…
A tip would be also: complicated harmonies use simple melodies and the other way around as well…

@Dreamer54 tried to add a little bit more of a theme in the guitar. Gonna use a call back in the second verse and maybe try to tie the first together with a more similar melodic structure or whatever.

Im gonna try to make it a little more coherent tho. I think the biggest tie is the two note on the horns that also repeat in the verse. Its gonna be fun playing around lol

I like the new track. You can clearly see you’re thinking more about structure.
You have to recognize though that what you’re doing is really complicated and that it’s hard to follow with your ear for the lay person I think

I think i tried to make one pop song a long time ago . Maybe I will listen yo a few tracks and see if I can gain anything from them.
I guess I could finish that infinite horizon song and use ai to sing the lyrics..I can do it in a pop style . I would have to finish this track first tho

Bro ive cut down alot lol
Ive decided i can go two directions with the song. I will keep the original and kind of just do it my normal/old way. And I will branch off another version and apply advice and new techniques to it and see how it goes.
I did the same with a song me and dreamer did together(he did the bass) and all 3 versions turned out!!!
