I guess everybody knows that eating fat doesn’t make you fat; this was a big idea in the 1970’s which made fat the enemy. It depends on what types you are eating; there’s healthy fat and unhealthy fat. Fat you get from avocados, extra virgin olive oil, salmon and nuts are good fats but they’re calorie dense so you shouldn’t eat too much of them. But fat in these products helps with satiety which can help you lose weight. The fat in red meat is on the borderline of what fat you should eat. The bad fats are trans fats which are found in some fried foods and some ultra processed foods. Manufacturers of low fat products often add extra sugar to low fat products to help with taste which cancels out any health benefits you are getting from them.
Funny, my sister said recently that the fat turns to fat idea was the true one. What do I know? Good things.
I don’t digest or absorb fat at all so I’m often tempted to eat bad fats just because it doesn’t really matter regarding my weight. I eat healthy but absorb very little nutrients and fat. I would probably eat more bad food if I weren’t trained otherwise. lol
I eat what I want when I want unless it’s Taco Johns I always feel like crap when I eat Taco Johns
You may feel differently when you get older when health becomes more important and your time left on earth becomes more finite and eating right may prolong that time.
Idk… my Grandmas in her 80s and she eats Burger King every morning
Some people smoke every day for 40 years and live to be 80, some people smoke for 15 years and die of lung cancer. You’re spinning the wheel when it comes to not eating right and other bad habits. I would rather have the odds in my favor. I can still have the occasional ribeye steak or Quarter Pounder, I’m not white knuckling it with eating perfect. To each his own though.
Yep Id find some tasty healthy food to eat.
Yes, there are good fats. I have a slice of avocado every day and 1 egg. Also use olive oil for cooking.
So true @77nick77
Great advice!
