I told my psychiatrist the only hallucination ive had in the past two weeks was i saw the sky rip open and i saw silver and sparckles beyond it. I told her i knew it wasnt real. She told me sometimes she thinks people with psychosis can see things most people cant. I am kind of shocked, i dont believe her. But if i was ill i would have. And now thats going to be in my head. Maybe i need a new pdoc. Sucks because she was helping me

I think she was trying to empathize. But it came out wrong.
If she does it again then I suggest you find a new doc.

I don’t think she meant that it was real, just that people with psychosis see things others don’t.

Maybe that’s what she thought you saw. I’m not saying you are wrong, but maybe she’s assuming you hallucinated it. A wrong assumption on her part.

I once thought I saw a politician say they were wrong. I probably imagined it.
More seriously though, I cant say for sure you didnt misunderstand her, but honestly it sounds like she might be a little bit off if she believes sz see real things others cant.

It might be true but no one can confirm it. And when we are seeing horrific hallucinations most usually by the end of an episode, its best for us to therefore assume its ‘not real’
Because how depressing n demoralising wud dat be if it really is like evil spirits or wateva as my dad says. I like to believe that even if it really is evil spirits they are in fact an illusion n not reality

I agree with her. I think psychosis opens the mind up to other dimensions and realities. Not tryna make you delusional or anything. Hopefully your hallucinations dissipate.

On a bus journey once I saw a field full of elephants, but there are no wild elephants here in the UK so I knew I hallucinated them, so next time I was on the bus I looked to see if they were there again in the field, but there was no field - just rows of trees. I was shocked.
