Same experience. Also, I tend to slip in “carnivore” stuff that really isn’t, like ginger beef. It’s breaded, deep-fried, and coated in a sugary, salty sauce. Pure garbage. It’s really hard to get takeout that won’t get you in trouble. For the most part vegan food is considered bland (until your system adjusts) and hard to sell to a public that is primed for sugar, salt, and grease.
Eating mostly healthy veg limits takeaway options like crazy.
If you want some healthy protein, legumes. I buy large bags of dried beans and rehydrate them overnight before I need them. Lots of good, cheap protein and fiber. Also, tofu is fantastic and affordable.
Oh I love beans! I have a really good vegetarian chili recipe I like to meal prep. Now that I think of it, I think I still have some in the freezer. Also, I really like lentil soup.
So apparently I can’t share my beliefs so let me simply say I believe humans are designed to eat plants it’s in our biology. Scientific stuff. I’d be dumb to ignore the science. There. Is science allowed?
We definitely need to eat plants. We have the teeth of an omnivore. Veggies are healthy too and good for you. And remember APs raise cholesterol so you have to be careful with some meats
@moon!! It’s good to see you here. And yes you’re right. Dogs and cats are carnivores and you can see by their teeth. Humans don’t have teeth like that.
