My negative and cognitive symptoms get worse when I lower my 6mg risperidone to 3mg but no psychosis. Why does everyone says the opposite. Idk why I keep lowering or stopping my meds knowing that. On reddit they all say they feel better off meds but not me.

Negatives are caused by the illness sometimes. Mine is better on meds. They respond differently than you.

Mine are too. I get amnesia off meds and misidentify faces and see coincidences, feels like Alzheimers. I keep thinking that lowering the dose will improve me but only time did. 3 years on risperidone and everything improved.

I guess you’re right that in some situations larger amounts of antipsychotics really can make negative and cognitive symptoms better. So in your situation you may feel better on 6 than 3 mg.
